SVESHTARI IN A NEW LIGHT PROJECT
Sveshtari in a New Light is the name of the project for renovation, socialization and promotion of the Thracian tomb near the village of Sveshtari.
The project is realized with the support of the Ambassador’s Fund for Cultural Preservation (AFCP) in the amount of $ 184,000 and is also supported by the Ministry of Culture and managed by the Credo Bonum Foundation.
The activities envisage work in several main directions related to the modernization of the technical part and the visitor experience, in particular:
– Renovation of the existing exhibition in the labyrinth of the protected building, creation of a new thematic exposition plan (TEP)
– Renovation of the Visitor Center
– New experience in the Visitor Center
– New interactive permanent exhibition in the tomb building
– Creation of a VR video with reconstruction of the naiskos/aedicule
– Animated video story about the tomb
– New lighting and replacement of obsolete electrical installations
– Replacement of the flooring
– Replacement of the air conditioners
– Promotion of the site
At present, the assessment of the technical environment in the tomb shows a strong need for modernization.
