The show will open on Thursday, September 19<sup>th<\/sup> at 6.30 pm and will be on display at the gallery on Slavyanska Str. until October 13<sup>th<\/sup>, 2019.<\/p>\n<p>In the last years Simeon Stoilov is very careful when deciding to appear in a gallery. His exhibitions have become quite affairs while their impact is profound and precise. The audience would often get to see Instagram photos of faraway shores, of stormy seas, and of landscapes voided of people and yet full of life. The show \u201cWild Life\u201d is the new stage where the artist and his passion for nature and the elements are coming together.<\/p>\n<p>In the new paintings created especially for the Credo Bonum Gallery, the artist is looking intensely at the endless beauty of wild nature. However, this is not the exotic nature we know from the TV; this is the most ordinary nature that we trample with our feet and that we pass by without as much as giving it a glance.<\/p>\n<p>Simeon Stoilov says about \u201cWild Life\u201d: <em>\u201cThroughout the year I collected on my phone photographs from various places without having a clear idea why. Least of all did I have the idea to show them in an exhibition. I realize now that for me that\u2019s a special kind of escape from the all-encompassing contemporaneity with its overly intensified pretentions, dependencies and complex behaviors of <\/em><em>equilibrist substance. <\/em><em>At the same time life \u2013 wild and eternal, is there all along. One only needs to look behind one\u2019s back or at the ground, to step across a swamp or to take a hike in the mountain, to <\/em><em>look on<\/em><em>, to contemplate and to live on\u2026\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Simeon Stoilov <\/strong>is born 1971 in Yambol, Bulgaria. He graduated from the Dept. of Painting at the National Art Academy in Sofia. He took his PhD in 2018. He is the author of numerous one-artist shows and participations in group exhibitions. He was awarded the M-Tel Prize for Contemporary Art in 2008.
