Plastic cannot biodegrade, it only breaks down into smaller and smaller pieces. And humanity keeps producing mountains of it or approximately 300 million tones every year. In a culture dependent upon the modern convenience of plastic, throwaway products of consumption are affecting oceans and shrinking our world as we all become connected through our trash. Plastic Paradise explores the complex connection between humans and plastic, focusing at the over-consumption and the environmental cataclysm, caused by it. The thought-provoking points of view of the artists are the covenant of the negative impact of our consumer practices and reminders of the continuing damage we are causing to nature. Is it easy to ignore that billions of us contribute through their own waste to a problem that threatens the stability of ecosystems. Will we be able to liberate or suffocate the earth in a disposable plastic bag?
