Le porte del paradiso (The Doors of Eden) by Professor Ivan Gazdov

The author of the unique graphic style “Graphicature”, Professor Ivan Gazdov, is again a guest artist at EIBANK Gallery with his newest exhibition.

The association with the Renaissance bronze reliefs on gates of famous temples that have passed into our modern times through “the gates” of Rodin and Manzu, are the base, the stair for upward bouncing, used by Ivan Gazdov in his typical unexpectedness and surprising creativeness. Here the graphic panels from the gates of Eden are not an apotheosis of the sensual vitality, but rather mental equivalents to our innermost impulses and shaken feelings. (Adam and Eve are sitting on a bench, and the apple between them, depreciated as an undone love, is bought from a shop).

The exhibition also presents an impressionable development of “The Last Supper” by Leonardo, which is a new stage of the style Graphicature. The big picture (2 х 1 м) is notionally stratified graphic equivalent to the well-known evangelic languors plus the author’s last achievements in the fantastic marking where the lack of humour elevates instead of repressing.

A retrospective part consisting of works of the Graphicature’s mark achievements during the years is also presented.
