Art Without Age
Art Without Age
In 2018, the Credo Bonum Foundation implemented the first edition of the project “Art without Age”, which was successfully continued in 2019. The series of educational and cultural initiatives raised important issues related to social isolation and distancing from the art world for people of retirement age.
The educational part of the project included free computer literacy courses, a course in photography with a smartphone and other creative workshops, while the part dedicated to exhibition art offered older people the opportunity to join free of charge organised tours of cultural sites and events, in the company of young volunteers.
The project analyses the main reasons that reinforce the social and cultural isolation of people of retirement age, proposing effective steps to overcome them. The two editions of the project “Art without Age” were organized with the support of the “Europe” programme of Sofia Municipality.
As part of the project, a newsletter is also distributed, along with the free “PROGRAM” guideline. The 4-page insert has information about free events or events with minimum admissions appropriate for the elderly. The publication is called “PROGRAM 65+” and is distributed through Easy Pay boxes in the Iskar and Center districts.
The project of the Credo Bonum Foundation – “Art Without Age – Program for Active Cultural Access and Social Inclusion of People in Post-Retirement Age” is implemented with the financial support of Sofia Municipality, Europe 2018 Program in partnership with the Time Heroes Foundation.
